TUIfly Nordic is a charter airline based in Stockholm, Sweden and is run under the TUI fly Group.
The airline operates charter flights from airports in Scandinavia and Finland to fly passengers for the tour operators in TUI Denmark, TUI Norge, TUI Finland and TUI Svergie.
TUI fly Nordic was originally formed in 1985 to handle charter operations of Transwede Airways. The charter airline was then taken over by the Swedish Tour Operator Fritidsresor and renamed Blue Scandinavia in 1996. In noveber 2005, the airline was then rebranded as Thomsonfly and in May 2006, TUIfly Nordic was then created due to new marketing strategies.
TUI fly Deutshland, formerly known as TUIfly, is a German leisure airline headquartered at Hannover Airport. The airline is owned by the travel and tourism company TUI Group. TUI fly Deutschland is part of the TUI Airlines "alliance".
In 2007 Hapag-Lloyd Express (HLX) and Hapagfly merged to form TUI fly. TUI fly is a wholly-owned enterprise of the TUI Group, the world's leading tourism troup with headquarters in Hanover, Germany. TUI fly flies to holiday regions all around the Mediterranean, the Canary and Cape Verde Islands, Madeira and Egypt for TUI and other tour operators. By the summer of 2014, TUI fly used 40 Boeing 737 aircraft to fly to these destinations.

Biofuel powers first 737 Max delivery to TUI Nordic
Scandinavian operator TUI Nordic has taken delivery of its first Boeing 737 Max, the second to be received by the tourism group.
The airline conducted the Max 8 delivery flight – from Seattle to Stockholm – using a 30% blend biofuel.
"This was one of the most carbon-efficient flights ever accomplished by this aircraft type," claims the carrier. TUI previously collaborated with Boeing on its 'ecoDemonstrator' programme, which included biofuel testing.
TUI introduced its first 737 Max a month ago when the initial jet was delivered to its Brussels-based division TUI Belgium.
Seventy-two aircraft, a mix of Max 8s and Max 10s, are due to be delivered to TUI's airlines by 2023 as the company revamps its fleet.
It will receive a total of nine aircraft, all Max 8s, this year. They will be distributed among its Belgian, Swedish, UK and Dutch operations. Germany's Tuifly operation will take its first in early 2019.

TUI Eyeing Brač Airport Base
Multinational travel and tourism company TUI Group, who have their headquarters in Hanover, Germany, are set to open an airline base on Croatia’s Dalmatian coast at Brač Airport next year.
“TUI will have a small base in Brač. This is a logical step because of the situation in Africa and Turkey, as well as Croatia’s growing tourism industry. TUI has an interest in such a move and already invests a lot in Croatia and sees great potential in our coast. They see Brač Airport as a partner in those plans,” said Brač Airport’s General Manage, Tonči Peović reports.
The TUI Group owns and operates TUIfly Belgium, Netherlands, and Deutschland, as well as Thomson Airways from the UK, TUIfly Nordic from Sweden and Crosair International from France.
TUIfly Belgium is to launch services to Brač this summer. Brač airport has recently undergone renovations, including the extension of its runway, allowing it to handle larger aircraft.
“This year we anticipate our passenger numbers to double to 30,000. This figure should double again next year. Brač Airport is undergoing a major expansion and few airports in the region can boast of such robust growth”, Mr Peović concluded.
