Solomon Airlines, also known as Fly Solomons, is the national carrier of the Solomon Islands.
The airline serves domestic flights and international services to Brisbane, Nadi, Nauru and Port Vila.
Solomon Airlines currently operates regular return services from Honiara to Brisbane-Australia, Nadi-Fiji (own aircraft and codeshare), Port Vila, Vanuatu (codeshare only), Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.
Solomon Airlines also operates an extensive domestic network around the Solomon Islands.

Solomon Airlines take on new route and schedule change
Today, Solomon Airlines launched a new non-stop flight from Brisbane to Munda. The new service will fly weekly and will be in addition the non-direct flights from Brisbane—Munda that Solomon Airlines already fly.
Solomon Airlines also announced that it will fly add a 5th service flying to Honaira, which will depart every sunday.

Solomon Airlines to launch new service to Parasi
Solomon Airlines will operate a new domestic route between its airport hub, Honiara (HIR), and Parasi (PRS) starting on 8th June 2018. The service will run two times a week and will use the DHC-6-300 Twin Otter aircraft.
With this new flight, Solomon Airlines will be the first carrier to operate scheduled services to Parasi, which is located in the centre of the Solomon Islands.

New codeshare agreement signed between Solomon Airlines & Fiji Airways
Fiji Airways (formerly Air Pacific), Fiji’s National Airline and Solomon Airlines, the national carrier of the Solomon Islands, have signed a codeshare agreement for flights between Nadi and Honiara.
The codeshare, which comes into effect on September 30th 2017 will see both airlines place their respective ‘FJ’ and ‘IE’ codes on each other’s flights between Nadi and Honiara.
Guests of Solomon Airlines can expect convenient travel and transfer onto Fiji Airways’ network through its Nadi hub to North America, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.
Mr. Andre Viljoen, Fiji Airways Managing Director and CEO said: ‘We’re very pleased to sign this codeshare agreement with our Melanesian friends and further strengthen our already comprehensive South Pacific network.”
“The region is our home and it makes perfect sense for South Pacific airlines to work together to offer seamless travel options to our people and visitors travelling to Fiji and the Solomon Islands. Through this partnership we’re opening up an important South Pacific destination – Honiara – to the rest of the world, boosting their tourism and trade potential. Brett Gebers, CEO of Solomon Airlines said the the new codeshare was great news for both airlines, extremely timely and presented a major boost for the Melanesian region’s tourism and business aspirations.
“The new codeshare improves inter-island connectivity in the Pacific and provides Solomon Islanders with another seamless opportunity to connect with the USA and beyond,” he said.
“Improving inter island connectivity is the first step to improving the economy in the Pacific and we value our relationship with Fiji Airways.”
Fiji Airways operates between Nadi and Honiara on Saturday while Solomon Airlines operates between Honiara and Nadi on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Solomon Airlines has announced a suspension of all services to Santa Cruz with immediate effect.
Citing land dispute issues as the reason for the suspension, an airline spokesman said the national carrier apologised unreservedly for the decision.
“We do apologise to our valued clients for any inconvenience the suspension of the Santa Cruz service may incur,” the spokesperson said.
“We do not take these decisions lightly but safety of both passengers and crew remains paramount.
“In the meantime, we would encourage all passengers affected by this situation to stay in touch by calling our dedicated toll free telephone number 177 or our sales office on 20152 or 20031.”

Solomon Airlines went into a codeshare agreement with Air Niugini and Air Vanuatu to provide operation linking all three destinations. The new service will operate from Port Moresby to Honiara on Fridays, Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Ex-Honiara the codeshare service will operate from Honiara to Port Moresby on Saturdays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The codeshare also extends to a weekly Honiara-Port Vila-Honiara service into Bauerfield International Airport, Port Vila, operating ex-Honiara on Tuesdays and returning to Honiara on Wednesdays.

Solomon Airlines announced it's aircraft would be out of service from 6th November to 11th November as part of a scheduled engine maintenance program.
