It operates scheduled and passenger charter services within Venezuela and the Caribbean, South America and Miami. Its main base is Simón Bolívar International Airport, Caracas. The airline was established in 1993 and commenced operations in 1994.

LASER Airlines look to fly longhaul
LASER Airlines want to fly new long-haul flights in the near future. The Venezuelan airline didn't specify exactly when it will go forward with the plans, but it recently received a widebody aircraft which it'll use to operate the international services when the time comes. The airline is expected to launch flights to the southernmost countries in South America, as well as some destinations in Europe.
LASER Airlines seem to be keeping their cards close to their chest. The airline did not release a time-frame for long-haul routes or the information on the type of widebody jet that they received. However, Laser Airline's Executive Vice President, René Cortés Vidal, made it very clear that it wants to make its hub in Valencia a gateway to connect its passengers to international destinations.

LASER Airlines: Cancel its debt in PAWA and assume its routes
The Venezuelan flag carrier Laser Airlines has reportedly cancelled the debt that PAWA Dominicana had with both Airports (Century XXI and the Dominican Republic). As a result, LASER was granted PAWA’s routes from Santo Domingo to destinations in the Caribbean, thus establishing a Dominican subsidiary.
LASER will now operate PAWA's ceased routes: including those to San Juan, Curacao, Aruba, Miami, San Martin, Antigua, and Caracas from Las Américas International Airport in Santo Domingo. With PAWA out of business, Las Américas International Airport is left without any airlines using it as a hub. However, flyCana (recently rebranded from Dominican Wings), looks to base itself at Las Américas International at some point next year, as the airline looks to roll out its first scheduled passenger flights.
Laser Airlines currently operates scheduled and charter flights from the Simon Bolivar airport in Caracas to routes in the Caribbean, South America and the US, in partnership with World Atlantic Airlines and Swift Air.
