About AirAsia Philipinnes
Philippines AirAsia (or AirAsia Incorporation and formerly known as AirAsia Philippines until 2015) is a low cost airline based in metro Manila, Philippines, at Ninoy Aquinto International Airport. Philippines AirAsia is a Philippine affiliate of AirAsia, a low-cost airline based in Malaysia.
Philippines AirAsia was founded in 2010 and in 2011, served a brand new Airbus A320 to Pampanga. Later in 2011, Philippines AirAsia flew its second A320. In 2012, Philippines AirAsia received its Air Operator Certificate from the Civil Aviation Authority if the Philippines which allows the airline permission to fly within Philippines airspace.

AirAsia X sponsers students' programme in Melbourne
AirAsia X airms to inspire gifted youths worldwide with its global talent initiative, “Australia Cultural and Technology Exchange (Acute) 2018” in Melbourne University, Australia. AirAsia X Malaysia marketing head Jurvena Lee sent off 42 students of the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) to take part in the programme, as well as the University's vice chancellor. Acute 2018 is a joint collaboration between the UTM student council, Malaysian Student Council of Australia, Islamic Affairs and Development Body and Malaysia’s Consulate General in Melbourne. Its goals are to promote Malaysian culture to Australian students and highlight UTM students’ latest innovation, which is a quick, cost-effective and durable interlocking brick construction system that has been recently used to build community houses in Tawau, Sawarak.

AirAsia India to roll out etiquette video for first-time flyers
AirAsia India has come up with a solution as to how to teach people how to behave while they are in the air. First-time flyers, of which there are a lot on AirAsia India, will be introduced and instructed on things such as when to arrive at the airport, how to clear security and when to stand up on an airplane. This how-to video, is hoped to eased the experience of new passengers on AirAsia flights. Air fares have fallen rapidly in India in the recent years, and with such fall, more of the country's population have been able to afford air travel, putting pressure on airlines such as AirAisa India to keep up with demands for flight bookings.
Although train travel was once the bread and butter of India's transportation industry, people are increasingly opting for flights with domestic carriers. Another reason the video idea is so popular is that many customers are unaccustomed to the waste dispoal systems in airplanes. Aircraft toilet fascilities have traditionally been built i western style, which many people find alien. As people are used to rail travel, they also think they can carry whatever they want, which is another aspect of confustion that the video hopes to address. No sharp objects and live animals in the air! That's train travel territory.

Thai AirAsia are obtaining seven new aircraft
The low-cost airline, Thai AirAsia, creported on Thursday that it is in the final stages of purchasing seven new aircraft this year, bringing its fleet up to 63 aircraft in total. Last year it purchased five new aircraft Currently, Thai AirAsia benefits from the ever-increasing numbers of Chinese passengers flying to Thailand. However, as part of a revenue growth strategy, the airline needs to diversify and this year will increase its flights to India and to the ASEAN region. Tassapon Bijleveld, CEO, said that last year Thai AirAsia added 16 new routes both domestically and inter-regionally. Thai AirAsia’s target for 2018 is 23.2 million passengers with a load factor of 87%.

AirAsia Philippines seeks to raise $250m in IPO
The Philippines unit of AirAsia Bhd is seeking to raise up to $250 million (8.4 billion baht) via an initial public offering (IPO) in mid-2018 to fund its expansion programme, its chief executive said on Tuesday.
Asia's biggest low-cost airline, which has nine units in the region, is beefing up its fleet in the Philippines amid an expected long-term boom in budget air travel. AirAsia first raised the prospect of listing its Philippines unit in 2015, planning at that point to take the airline public as early as 2017.
"We are working on the IPO, hopefully in the middle part of next year," Philippines AirAsia CEO Dexter Comendador told Reuters.
Philippines AirAsia had initially aimed to raise $200 million but raised its target to fund purchases of more aircraft and to expand its route network, Mr Comendador said.
The airline, which started Philippine operations in 2012, hired BDO Capital and Investment Corp as its underwriter.
Its fleet will reach 70 aircraft in the next 10-15 years from the current 17, Mr Comendador said. AirAsia is one of the largest customers of the Airbus A320-family of jets.
The airline has a 10% share of the air travel market in the Philippines, one of the world's fastest growing economies. The local market is dominated by Cebu Pacific, followed by flag carrier Philippine Airlines, both owned by local tycoons.
AirAsia has also said it is considering a potential IPO of its Indonesian arm.

Philippines AirAsia plans Vietnam launch in Nov 2017
Philippines AirAsia from November 2017 plans to offer service to Vietnam, as the airline opened bookings for Manila – Ho Chi Minh City route. From 17NOV17, Airbus A320 aircraft will operate this route 3 times a week during overnight hours.

In January 2017, Phillippines AirAsia were looking into operating flights from Philippines to India. The carrier’s request is being made in accordance to the existing air services agreement between the governments of the Philippines and India.
Philippines AirAsia is a joint venture company between Filipino investors Antonio Cojuango, Alfredo Yao, Michael Romero, Marianne Hontiveros and Malaysia’s AirAsia Berhad.
